MUARO JAMBI, bhayaksa.net — Anticipating global economic headwinds and regional food security challenges, the Pudak Village Administration, in partnership with Universitas Jambi (UNJA), officially launched a cross-sectoral economic initiative, Pudak Expo 2026, on Saturday (9/5/2026). Hosted at the Pudak Village Hall in the Kumpeh Ulu District, this community-based business incubation serves as a tactical vehicle to integrate academic research into rural productive sectors.
The localized, long-term development agenda centers on the theme “Pudak Resilient Village: Inovasi Kampus UNJA Berdampak Mendukung Kabupaten Muaro Jambi Berbakti.” Executed under the student-led Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa), the project is engineered to be a blueprint for economic resilience at the micro-cluster level.
Muaro Jambi Regent, Dr. Bambang Bayu Suseno, S.P., M.M., M.Si., highlighted that this collaboration directly intervenes in the village’s end-to-end production pipeline. He emphasized the critical role of grassroots technology transfer from academia in boosting the competitiveness index of rural commodities within the regional supply chain.
Concurrently, UNJA President, Prof. Dr. Helmi, S.H., M.H., alongside Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dr. Fauzi Syam, S.H., M.H., outlined that Pudak Expo marks a concrete realization of translating academic innovations into commercial assets. The initiative moves beyond standard curricula to bridge industrial gaps by institutionalizing business management training and upgrading local MSME operational governance.
Pudak Village Head, Aminto, confirmed robust transaction volumes since the gates opened at 8:00 AM WIB. To stimulate regional cash flow, the expo integrates a strategic MSME Bazaar, reinforced by customer incentive structures such as door prizes and curated community entertainment to extend visitor retention and optimize retail velocity.
Through this institutional synergy, Pudak Village is slated to transform into a new growth hub in the Muaro Jambi Regency—one that is self-sustaining, competitive, and financially resilient.
