JAMBI, bhayaksa.net— A crucial milestone for the acceleration of the national palm oil industry took place in the Land of Sepucuk Jambi Sembilan Lurah. Celebrating its 26𝚝𝚑 anniversary, the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) Jambi Branch officially opened its new headquarter located on Jalan Bajuri, Pasir Putih Village, Jambi Selatan District, Jambi City, on Thursday (10/22/2026).

The new building, lauded as representative, majestic, and gallant, was directly inaugurated by the Chairman of Central GAPKI, Edi Martono, during a ceremony that ran from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM WIB.

“This infrastructure is a strategic organizational investment. The presence of this new office in Jambi City will cut coordination bureaucracy while accelerating operational consolidation between GAPKI Jambi Branch and Central GAPKI,” Edi Martono stated in his welcome speech before the top management of the palm oil industry players.

Macro Corporate Scale and Validation of ESG Commitments
During the event, Edi presented the organization’s comprehensive portfolio. Currently, GAPKI consolidates approximately 750 palm oil corporate branches (corporate members) stretching from Aceh to Papua. The total landbank or land coverage managed under GAPKI’s corporate umbrella currently exceeds 3.8 million hectares nationwide.

Amid global scrutiny surrounding sustainability issues and climate risks, Edi highly commended the strict peatland and forest fire mitigation performance within the members’ concession areas. Through the stringent application of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, corporations under GAPKI have proven compliant in land protection. “So far, even when weather conditions trigger high risks of forest fires, the zero burning commitment in the concession areas of GAPKI members has run optimally, resulting in zero hotspots and a fire-free record,” he emphasized.

Official Statement by the Organizing Chairman: The Cornerstone of Economic Stability and Industrial Sovereignty

The Organizing Chairman of the Event, Abidin, in his official statement delivered a strategic emphasis regarding the structural significance of the major agenda. He sharply underlined that the integration of the new building inauguration, the commemoration of the 26th anniversary of GAPKI Jambi, and the execution of the Branch Working Meeting (Rakercab) was far from a mere ceremonial agenda, but rather a monumental leap that serves as an absolute foundation for the future trajectory of the palm oil industry.

“This new headquarter building stands as a profound symbol of sovereignty, dignity, and the tangible strength of the palm oil industry in the Land of Jambi. This modern infrastructure is custom-engineered to ensure that landbank data consolidation and corporate reporting precision operate flawlessly, transparently, and without a single loophole. Harnessing the golden momentum of GAPKI Jambi’s 26th anniversary alongside the acceleration of this Rakercab, we resolutely affirm the unwavering commitment of all corporate members to strictly submit to the supremacy of national regulations. GAPKI Jambi holds a vital position as the primary pillar driving regional economic stability. There is absolutely zero tolerance for operational oversight; the internal solidarity and legal compliance of Jambi’s palm oil entrepreneurs are non-negotiable mandates for the ultimate resilience of the national palm oil industry,” Abidin concluded in a firm tone.

Dissecting Strategic Issues at the Branch Working Meeting: Interactive Inter-Divisional Q&A Runs Smoothly
Organizational activities moved rapidly post-inauguration. At 1:25 PM WIB, the agenda shifted to the Aston Jambi Hotel to hold the Branch Working Meeting (Rakercab).

The Rakercab proceeded dynamically and productively, driven by a highly effective interactive two-way Q&A and discussion session. Representatives of estate managers and corporate directors actively brought up critical field issues. These questions and discussions were met with straightforward, comprehensive responses from management leads across various technical divisions within the GAPKI board structure:

  • Legal Advocacy Division: Analyzed strategic corporate legal risk mitigation, compliance with ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil) regulations, land legalization within forest zones, and agrarian conflict resolution to guarantee the companies’ operational legality.
  • Trade Division: Fully examined CPO (Crude Palm Oil) price fluctuations, export market dynamics, FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunch) trade regulations, and global trade barriers. The main focus was on optimizing the supply chain to keep Jambi’s palm oil highly competitive.
  • Other Strategic Divisions: Presented sectoral work programs spanning partnership sectors, institutional relations, and agricultural technological innovations to sustain the future of the palm oil business.

Through this intensive brainstorming, a joint commitment was formulated so that all palm oil stakeholders in Jambi can strengthen their partnership with the local government, maintain harmonious relations with surrounding communities through plasma partnership schemes, and act as the core engine driving regional economic stability.

Leadership Succession and Closing Statement
Before the session adjourned, the forum read the code of conduct and officially ratified the Decree (SK) for the new board structure. The Rakercab appointed Nanda Apriyansah as the new Chairman of the 𝚂𝙲 Jambi Branch. In steering the organization, he will be accompanied by two elected vice chairmen, Taufik and Abidin.

The regional organizational assembly concluded with a powerful corporate closing statement and chant full of optimism: “GAPKI Jambi… Luar… Luar.. Luar biasa!”
