JAKARTA ,bhayaksa.net— Ahead of the upcoming competitive season, Persija Jakarta has received a significant boost by officially strengthening its partnership with Bank Jakarta. The collaboration aims for the ultimate goal in Indonesian football: bringing home the league trophy. This strategic alliance was marked during a collaboration launch event at Suropati Park, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (August 9, 2026).

Winning the championship title this season carries special significance, as it is envisioned as a grand gift for the capital city as DKI Jakarta prepares to celebrate its historic 500th anniversary.

Persija Jakarta President, Mohammad Prapanca, emphasized that this partnership goes far beyond a standard corporate transaction. Instead, it represents a deep-rooted union between two entities that share a strong bond with the people of Jakarta.

”We extend our gratitude to Bank Jakarta for their trust and ongoing collaboration with Persija. This synergy was initiated by the Governor through the spirit of ‘Jakarta Must Be More Persija’,” Prapanca stated.
Prapanca expressed hope that Bank Jakarta’s backing will energize the squad to maintain a high level of competitiveness throughout the season.

Beyond sporting achievements, this long-term partnership is designed to deliver tangible benefits to the wider community and Persija’s loyal fanbase, Jakmania.
He also extended his appreciation to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, for his continuous attention and backing, ensuring Persija remains an indispensable part of Jakarta’s identity.

Echoing this optimism, Persija head coach Shin Tae-yong (STY) welcomed the multi-stakeholder support from the city government and Bank Jakarta. The South Korean manager noted that this backing serves as a strong motivation for both the coaching staff and players to work even harder on the pitch.

”We will certainly do our absolute best so that Jakarta can achieve the finest sporting success possible,” STY stated with confidence.
This joint effort reflects a robust ecosystem surrounding Jakarta football—uniting the regional government, local business sector, club management, players, and supporters.

Should this goal be realized, the league trophy will be more than just a title; it will stand as a symbol of pride and a monumental gift for Jakarta on its 500th anniversary.
